Tutorial information: This video tutorial is highly recommended for for all new users of Paint Shop Pro. We feel it will prepare you for the basics of using the program, and certainly inspire you to design more with the program. We will show you how to take a grayscale or black white special illustration, and color it in with multiple layers. I will show you how to use my favorite Paint Shop Pro effect known as the "Cutout Effect" and you will see just how incredible that tool is as it bring's your graphic to life. You will learn how to use Gaussian blur, and how to set your opacity / transparency settings within your layers. From this tutorial you will be able to color in sketches, charcal drawings, and more. Choose your own fun colors and to be creative. Learning how to color this way will prepare you for the next level of color with layers such as RGB and more.

Tutorial Guide What You Need

The Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 tutorial includes detailed step by step directions. You will learn how to use multiple tools and how how to manipulate PSP Layers. You can use most versions of Paint Shop Pro, but each version might have moved their tools, effects, and options into other areas of the menu bars, but you can still follow along if you improvise.

1. Internet Browser such as IE, Firefox, and a Media Player such as VLC, Flash, Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player.
2. Corel Paint Shop Pro

4. Plugin from xero : freeware filter set
5. Plugin from Cybia: AlphaWorks Transparency Effects (Sorry, there is no MacOS X)
6. If you find the plugins are not working these two DLL files should fix your problem. MSVCRT10.DLL. You may also need the Plugin.Dll from Adobe (please read that page before using). If you have an Adobe program installed you likely have the plugin. Place them into your Windows/System32 folder
