Tutorial information: This video tutorial will show you how to use basic shapes, and turn them into a cute doll graphic. Once you learn how to do this you will be able to make whatever your imagination allows. The example to the left was made with circles and squares! This tutorial offers you a pattern template, presets, tubes, and more. We will show you how to work with layers, pick tools, 3D effects, and more.

We will also offer this tutorial via Paint Shop Pro Selections for are visitors that are brand new to Paint Shop Pro. You make the choice whether you want to follow the more advanced or the beginner levels of this tutorial!

We also have a quickie presentation that does not include audio, and is not a tutorial, but rather simply shows how to use a scanned image of a frog and use the same technique from this tutorial to reproduce the frog in this quick Paint Shop Pro video presentation.

Tutorial Guide What You Need

Doll Pattern TutorialThe Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 tutorial includes detailed step by step directions. You will learn how to use multiple tools and how how to manipulate PSP Layers. You can use most versions of Paint Shop Pro, but each version might have moved their tools, effects, and options into other areas of the menu bars, but you can still follow along if you improvise.

1. Internet Browser such as IE, Firefox, and a Media Player such as VLC, Flash, Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player.
2. Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate directly from the Corel secure servers.
3. Our Download Pack of Patterns, Tubes, and Presets. Directions on file placement are below.
4. Just watching this video will help you learn how to use the program. No need to follow along.

NOTE: You will need an unzipping program to open the files. You can use Winzip, Winrar, Power Archiver, 7zip, and alike. The below steps for extraction include the typical locations for these file types within the Paint Shop Pro program. Please refer to your version guide for further instructions if needed.

The Tubes: Extract to C:\Documents and Settings\Name\My Documents\My PSP Files\Picture Tubes

The Presets: Extract to C:\Documents and Settings\Name\My Documents\My PSP Files\Presets

*The Selections: Extract to C:\Documents and Settings\Name\My Documents\My PSP Files\Selections
Please note that you do not need the selections for this tutorial, but I've included them just in case you would like to follow along with our Selections tutorials later.
