Just curious - this site says X3 comes with KPT plugins. Doesn't say that on the Corel site and I've been using X3 now for a week or so - can't find the plugins anywhere. So does anyone know for sure if X3 provided a few KPT plugins for free? If so, where can I locate them?
Many thanks!!

Re: KPT Plugins?
I got something when I registered as a "gift" but can't remember what it was. (sorry)

Re: KPT Plugins?
Yeah, I got the "incentive gift" as well. Ran the .exe and it did its thing but what was interesting was that it never told you just what it was installing. I figured it was a few tubes, frames or what not. But I know the KPT plugins are not installed or at least not where I can find them. I moved my X2 plugins into the X3/plugins folder and they work fine.
Anyone else know if or where the KPT plugins can be located? If they are supposed to be included, I still can't locate them!
Overall, it's okay but I have to say like most new Corel releases, this one could have used some "user" beta testing!
Cheers!

Re: KPT Plugins?
Well, still no answer so I'll pose this one directly to the site admin. On the main page (http://www.michelespaintshop.com/paint-shop-pro-x3.php), under "Special Additions", it states "Bonus! KPT Plug-in Filters" are included in X3. Does anyone know for sure that these 4 KPT plugins are included in X3? I can't locate them on the disk or after the install?!
Thanks!!

Re: KPT Plugins?
UPDATE: I found them. It was under Help, Learn More. I found mine there, and there was a download button. I downloaded them, and it said the PSPX3 had to close to install the KPT plugins. I closed the program the plugins installed, and I checked to see if they were there and yes they were. This is something you will have to contact Corel about. I cannot offer you the KPT plugins so please do not ask me as that would be against the programs TOU.
=======================
A phone call to Corel on or around Feb 24th, I had asked them why they are listing the KPT, and they said they are adding the KPT plugins with an update. Now, do not quote me on that because they could have changed things, but until the update comes out I do not know for sure. The information on the website is the information that was given to the media. You will see it also lists it on the Corel website here http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1184951547051#tabview=tab1 so it was not only listed on this website alone.
I believe the second item was the Corel Photo Essentials. If you purchased online, and you copied the email for backup, check that email and you will see what the links were. I am downloading it all again to see if anything was attached that was missed. However, I am also contacting Corel.
Okay this is an update. I've been on hold for over 45 minutes!!! They said the expected hold time was 20 mins! This is pathetic!
Okay, now its been 55 minutes on hold! I have it on speaker, and I'm not going to give up because I want answers! Watch, I bet they all went home and they don't know how to switch the switchboard over to keep people from sitting on hold.
Okay after 1 hr, 5 min's, 33 seconds I gave up. I pressed 1 to leave a message. The voicebox number is 9156
I left them my name, and phone number and expressed that I am expected a call back. Hmmm we will see.
Trying another number. I really want to get answers about the KPT and the Update for the bug issues!
Okay, it has been 20 minutes for this line as well. I will try again tomorrow. The time the website states Mon-Fri 9am to 7pm, and I am aware of the time difference, which I did call while they were open.

Re: KPT Plugins?
Thank you! Yes, I had received the Painter Essentials (I use Painter 11 instead) but had not seen the KPT plugins! Thanks for sharing that Corel link because it sure wasn't there a few weeks ago (or at least I couldn't find it!). For this and a whole lot more "hoped for" fixes - I eagerly await an X3 update! Thanks again!

Re: KPT Plugins?
Those appear to be the "extra" tubes/frames from the "incentive" package and not the KPT plugins or am I mistaken?

Re: KPT Plugins?
Could you please post the name of the file that has the plug-ins? Do you actually see the plugins loaded under the Effects menu?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: KPT Plugins?
Don't know if this has been answered somewhere in the forum. (I haven't been in in a while.) I found my KPT plug-ins by accident recently. I went in to "Effects" and found something that said "Do more" below Plug-ins. I clicked on it and it took me to the download for the KPT plug-ins.
It seems that Corel could have let us know. Don't know how long it had been lurking there. Now that I have downloaded them the "Do more" is still there but not active. Maybe they will keep adding things??? Won't hold my breath.

Re: KPT Plugins?
Funny - me too - found them one day by accident. Pretty interesting how they all of sudden just showed up. I don't remember seeing the "Do More" task on the Effects Menu before, that's for sure! Whatever - they're there now!
