Easy Templates Websets

Postby MichelesPaintShop on December 15th, 2009, 8:00 pm

Just wanted to put up a notice that I will work on adding some Templates, Websets, Layouts to Michele's Paint Shop for others to use on their websites. We will begin working more on this within the first few weeks of the New Year.

They will be free to use for personal sites, and I only ask that my small text credit is left intact. Donations of $50.00 and over will have the text credit removed, and donations over $75.00 will get the credit removed, and dedicated help on special optimization, and making sure it works on your website.

Either way everyone can use it! I am doing this to help offset the costs of running the site, and my time. I think it is a win win situation.

We may be a match. I learned html on Notepad and I need to study CSS or something to get a profession-looking web site going. The html of 8 years ago doesn't cut it anymore. I've been adding photos and text to a plain site, hoping to find someone eventually to help me (or take this info and make a site with links, instead of one, very long page). It's a store: www.sturgissoapfactory.com

Chatty,

Your photos for your products are wonderful! I have no doubt with some updates to build your brand, and a good dose of SEO, you'll do wonderful!

One of my favorite things to do is motivate, inspire, by taking an idea and turning it into a reality. I have worked with several people that did not think they had the skills, ideas, or energy to make their dreams a reality.

You have a real product, something to brand, and take it as far as you're willing to take it. I believe in the saying "Your life is what you make it" and I also believe you can do anything as long as you're willing to work hard at it. So, what am I getting at here? I see great potential with your website, products, and more. I have a three year plan that I placed on my website with hopes to inspire others to never give up, and it shows the TRUE reality of having an online business. Forget all those so called gurus out there that only are looking for your $200.00... they can talk a good talk, but the reality is you can do it yourself by setting real goals. People set their goals way to high when it comes to the Internet.

Three years in Internet time is FAST. Of course each year you move up, you do better, and as long as you stick with it, work hard on content, your product, SEO/SEM/SERPS, and challenge your own schedule... you will see it is all worth it.

Here are a few pages that you may find interesting.

I do wish you the best and I am eager to see how things are going for you by this time next year. You have a nice fun product and I have no doubt you'll do great. PS: I love your wink! That is great!

Michele

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm working the tutorials here to improve my graphics skills. I'm also very interested in your web tutorials and Dreamweaver. I hope to sell most of the soap at festivals and repeat customers, but a website is necessary, so repeat customers can order online. I guess I'll stick with my amateur version until I learn to make it better. It's ugly, but it works! LOL

Thanks for the links. Those will be my homework for today (or as long as it takes), then back to graphics.

And I just had to check out your site, because I have never heard of your company, and while working for a Harley-Davidson dealership, I had been through Sturgis several times...

And then I see it's another Sturgis.

Still, minus CSS effects and muliple page structure, it's a nice site, with worthwhile inventory. Sure hope Miche can help you out.

Thanks Zap -- Yes, Sturgis, Mississippi. We have a copy-cat rally in August. We get about 50,000 in this town with a population of 300, so it's a big deal around here. We always ask, "Have you been to Sturgis? -- All of them?" LOL My hubby and I own a shop that restores and sells parts for antique BMW motorcycles, so we don't have much to offer all the Harley guys that hit town.
